Everyday Miracles
It happens like this every time! Doors magically appear where I hadn't noticed one. This seems to always happen on days when I feel life energy flowing through me. When I'm tapped in. I spent this early morning reading a new book, one by Wayne Dyer. I had several "ah-ha" moments as he phrased things a bit differently and brought attention to things in a way that made them shine. I was feeling good. I took some time to be still and silent. I moved inward and quieted my thoughts. A stillness was achieved. Several hours later I open an email from my place of employment from a guy in charge. To give a bit of background, several months ago, I had a new idea for a direction my work could take. I felt true excitement about it for a few days. Then, self-doubt started creeping in and I haven't given it much thought again...until today. This email I read was opening a door, asking for communication about ways we would like to be involved in our jobs come fall time. I immediately thought about my previous idea, and suddenly felt excitement again. I could email this gentlemen and tell his my proposed idea! Then I thought, "I'll do it later." Then I thought, "What would you do if you knew you could not fail?" Then I emailed him back.

Childhood Recollections
Sometimes I like to reflect on my childhood. I have many recollections of being connected to source. One thing I used to like to do was start with a mantra...."who am I, who am I" and the world would begin to transform in front of my eyes. Like one of the 3D pictures you have to stare at for a few minutes until the images separate and all of a sudden you see something in the picture that you couldn't see the moment before. My world would transform and I would be filled with the absolute knowledge that anything is possible. I would look around and see common everyday things and they would be magical, is was a surreal feeling where I felt like I was in a dream. After being in this state of being for a few minutes I would come back out. What a rush. Now I know that I was seeing the world through the eyes of source...I completely let go of my resistance and it flowed through me. I can also remember being places as a small child, 5 or 6 years old, and watching adults around me standing in line or waiting for something and I would think to myself, "Look how cute they are!" In the language that I had heard adult use when they talked about little children. I would often catch myself and realize that I was the small child and would think how funny it was that I as the small child was looking at the adult in an,"Oh, how adorable" kind of way. Now that I understand how things work, I can give meaning to that experience. Again, I was looking at the world through the eyes of source, and then the ego, human part of me would reflect on it.

Alignment feels so good
So for the last few days I have experienced strong alignment. I'm feeling really good most of the the day. I think about my new home and feel elated, I think about financial security and feel excited. A few minutes ago I thought about going out on a double date with some friends and thought it would be fun to buy a new outfit for the occasion and the emotion that hit me right away was anticipation. This is new and so great!! I taught class tonight and it went really well. Unlike most weeks, I felt no nervous energy before class. Just calm anticipation. The class unfolded so well and some of the things I was able to talk about perfectly expressed what I had hoped to convey. I was really being tuned in, tapped in, turned on. It is so true that when you get to a good feeling place, it really doesn't matter that there are things you want that have not yet come to be yet. It feels like joyful anticipation. This is really good stuff. I've given my girls some guidance when they have been feeling off and they have taken to it well. I'll write more about that at another time, it's a good story in itself.

A New Direction, Perhaps
What would I love to do? That is the question I ask myself. I have thought about writing and I think about social work and I wonder where I shall head. I have been given the opportunity to teach this year, a social work class and I have had much fun with it. I've been able to taylor it to fit me and the things I would love to share with the students. I've thought about writing a book Social Work Practice in a time of New Conciousness where I can explore how knowledge about alignment can help infuse the practice of social work with new energy. I did a google search today, using the proposed name of my book and uncovered a wealth of info. Did you know there is actually a Center for Spirituality and Social Work? Me neither until today. There are classes and even a certification. I could teach a Social Work and Spirituality class...I would love that. I could write the curriculum I would like to teach...that sounds perfect. Then I could write a book based on the things I learn and the experiences I have in class. This will be great! I feel much enthusiasm.

So much has happened....part 3
In regards to work...
In September I took a new position instructing college students. The class is small and discussion based and I've had a great time with it. During Sept and Oct I was reading Everyday Grace by Marianne Williamson and received some great advise to put to use tackling this new life adventure of mine. Her language is more "god-y" and (to me anyway) reminiscent of church talk but with a few mental substitutions, the truths she spoke of resonated through my being. One thing she advocates is to start the day with a morning prayer (which I incorporated into my morning quiet time.) She suggests that you ask God (or Source Energy, as I like to think of it) to bless yourself, the day ahead of you and all those that you may meet. She suggests the visualization of enveloping all those you bring to your thoughts in a gold light, as a mental symbol of good energy and love surrounding them. This is something I did in my mind with the students in class. I took each in turn and "blessed them" then I asked that (or set my intention as such that) I let go of my resistance, that I may be available to hear the questions they had of me and that I be open enough to allow the answers they were seeking to flow through me. On many occasions, I can honestly say that I felt life energy flowing though me and through the class. It was powerful, and so much fun. I appreciate having the opportunity to direct energy in that way and to live that experience, especially since it included others that are not usually in my small sphere of daily experience.

So much has happened...part 2
I would really likely to reflect on the change in vibration to I feel in regards to a new family home. Several months ago, when I would think about moving, I had a feeling of anxiety when I thought about it, on many levels. I felt the time wasn't right or that there was more I needed to do before considering a move. This had been the dominant desire I've been working on since the end of the summer. During my Creative Workshop processes I spend time "being" in my new home and appreciating details about it. At first, I felt resistance. Now after many months, my practised vibration is one of excitement and positive expectation. I love to think about the new house adventures in my future and when I activate that vibration, it always feels uplifting and exciting. The books I've been reading talk about a desire being on the brink of manifesting when the vibration is so familiar that when the desired object comes to you, you say, "There you are, I knew you were there, I could feel you." I feel that this is in the vicinity of where my vibration is now....I feels so good and so right and like it's the next logical step. And, it's so much fun!!

So much has happened....
So it is the start of the year 2012....much has happened to me since August, the month of my last post. I want to lay out some of my experiences so I can remember them. To lay the foundation, I've been continuing my practice of reflection in the morning. I still wake up before my family and leave the house and dedicate 30-90 minutes to re-orient my self. I start the time reading something inspirational, something that gets my vibration in a high place. Then I spend time meditating, or more often, in a "creative workshop" where I see things in detail unfolding in my life the way I would like them to. Sometimes I'll spend quiet time exercising after this time, and I enjoy turning my thoughts to things that help to churn up the feeling of joyful expectation. This took some practice, to be able to easily generate feelings of joyful expectation. I had to practice this vibration for months before it could come relatively easily. I feel that my emotional "set-point" has been altered for the better.
Well anyway...that was a bit of back ground. Some of the specific that have been happening....
For the last year, I have been asking the universe on and off for a mini-van for my growing family. Sometimes it would feel good to think these thoughts and sometimes it would feel frustrating (my indicator that I was resisting this change.) As I practiced a vibration of allowing (feeling joy pour through me as I envisioned that which I decided I would like to embrace) I could feel the resistance lessen and lessen. I got to a point where I genuinely stood in a point of positive expectation of the van. I looked forward to getting the van without feeling frustrated while not having it, and genuinely so. One morning during the week leading up to Thanksgiving, during my morning quiet time I wrote in my journal about my jeep. The entry is entitled "Positive Aspects of my Jeep." I just felt like flowing positive feelings toward that which I had. It was a time I was feeling thankful and feeling so much appreciation for what I had. I did this journal entry and several days later, we purchase our van. I feel I in doing this exercise helped to release the last bit of resistance I was harboring. During the exercise I felt it...I felt joy and deep sense of "all is well." It felt exhilarating to feel how if feels to flow life energy into a direction of my choosing. So interesting. I have some other things to talk about...I shall write about these shortly
